Create an account and sign in
Make a free Piano Gather account, verify your email, and sign in with a password or with Apple, on the web or in the apps.
You can look around Piano Gather without an account. To RSVP, join or host a session you need to sign in. One account works everywhere: on the website, in the Mac and Windows apps, and in the iPad and iPhone app.
Tip: If you've been to a Sonatina camp, sign up with the same email you used to enroll. Piano Gather recognizes it and gives you free member access automatically.
Create an account
Web browser
- Go to sonatina.com/gather.
- Click Sign in to RSVP or host at the top of the menu.
- Click Create account.
- Fill in:
- Email: campers, use the email you've used for enrollments.
- Password: at least 8 characters.
- Display Name: how other people will see you. It has to be one nobody else is using.
- Camp Association (optional): the camp you're connected with. Leave it blank if you're new or would rather not show it.
- Click Create Account.
Mac or Windows app
- Open Piano Gather.
- In the blue panel on the right, under Don't have an account yet?, click Sign Up.
- Fill in your Display name, Email and Password (at least 8 characters). Campers, use the email you've used for enrollments.
- Click Sign Up.
You can add your camp later, under Manage profile.
iPad or iPhone app
- Open Piano Gather.
- Tap Create account at the top.
- Fill in your Display name, Email and Password (at least 8 characters). Campers, use the email you've used for enrollments.
- Tap Create account.
You can add your camp later, under Account → Edit profile.
Verify your email
Right after you sign up we send an email with the subject Verify your Sonatina email address. Click the link in it. The page that opens says Email verified successfully!, and you can close that tab.
You need to verify before you can join or host sessions, send messages, or pay for anything.
No email? Check your spam or junk folder. To have it sent again:
Web browser
Sign in. If you haven't verified yet, the sign-in box says so and offers Resend verification email.
Mac or Windows app
Open Account in the sidebar. The Verify your email card has a Resend email button.
iPad or iPhone app
Open the Account tab. The Verify your email banner has a Resend email button.
Sign in
Web browser
- Click Sign in to RSVP or host, or Sign In if the page says you're signed out.
- Enter your email and password and click Sign In.
If you try to create an account with an email that already has one, the box switches to sign-in for you.
Mac or Windows app
Enter your Email and Password and click Log In.
iPad or iPhone app
Make sure Sign in is selected at the top, enter your Email and Password, and tap Sign In.
Sign in with Apple
Web browser
On the sign-in box, click Continue with Apple.
Mac or Windows app
Click Continue with Apple. Apple's sign-in opens in your web browser. Finish there and you're brought straight back to the app. If your browser asks whether to open Piano Gather, allow it.
iPad or iPhone app
Tap Continue with Apple and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
If your Apple email already belongs to a Sonatina account, you're signed straight in. If it doesn't, you're asked Do you already have a Sonatina account?
- New to Sonatina? Choose No, I'm new here, pick a display name and choose Create account. Apple accounts don't need the email verification step.
- Already have a Sonatina account? Choose Yes so the two are joined. We send a six-digit code to your Sonatina email (it expires after 10 minutes). Type it in and choose Continue.
Forgot your password
Web browser
- Type your email into the sign-in box first.
- Click Forgot password?
Mac or Windows app
- Click Forgot your password? under the password box.
- Enter your email and click Send Link.
iPad or iPhone app
- Tap Forgot password? under the Sign In button.
- Enter your email and tap Send link.
Then open the email titled Reset your Sonatina password and follow the link. Enter a new password twice (at least 8 characters) and click Reset Password. Use the new password everywhere you sign in.
Change your name or photo
Web browser
Click Manage Profile in the Gather menu. You can change your Display Name and Profile Photo, choose your camp, and turn the Open Notifications emails about new open sessions on or off. Click Save Profile when you're done.
Mac or Windows app
Click Manage profile in the sidebar, or Edit profile on the Account screen. You can change your photo, display name and camp, and turn Open session notifications on or off.
iPad or iPhone app
Open the Account tab and tap Edit profile. You can change your photo, display name and camp, and turn Open session notifications on or off.
You can't change your account email yourself. Email us and we'll do it for you.
