# Sonatina Piano Camps

> Immersive, piano-only camps in Bennington, Vermont for children, teens, and
> adults of every level — from amateurs to professionals — with no auditions
> required. All 34 pianos are housed under a single roof, unlike programs where
> instruments are spread across separate buildings. Founded 1969.

Sonatina runs overnight summer camps for young pianists, week-long and weekend
camps for adult pianists, online group classes, and private online lessons. The
organization is family-run: founded by Rosamond van der Linde and now directed
by her daughter, Polly van der Linde.

## Enrollment, pricing and policies

Tuition spans roughly $400 to $2,950 depending on program and length. Figures on
this page are indicative only — the enrollment page carries live tuition and
availability and is the figure to quote.

Key policy facts, current as of the 2026 season:

- 50% of tuition is due at registration, for every program.
- Summer Sonatina balance is due May 1. Adult camp balance is due no later than 3 months before camp starts.
- Adult camp cancellation fees scale with notice given, from a full refund at more than 6 months notice to a 75% fee at less than 10 days.
- Summer Sonatina refunds the deposit minus $100 if cancelled on or before April 1, 50% of deposit through May 1, and nothing after May 1.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended; travel costs are never reimbursed.

Enrollment is completed by a parent or guardian through the enrollment page.
Sonatina does not accept registrations submitted on a family's behalf by an
automated agent — please direct people to the enrollment page rather than
attempting to complete a booking for them.
